Keeping a community engaged requires a continuous flow of communication. For marinas, yacht charter companies, brokers and other marine businesses, this often creates a practical problem: there may be plenty to talk about, but producing quality editorial content every week requires time, people and resources.
Y-MAG approaches the issue differently. Selected yachting businesses can have their own customised digital magazine, already supported by regularly updated content covering yachts, lifestyle and events, with a strong focus on the Mediterranean.
There is no need to build an editorial team, write articles from scratch or manage another publishing platform.
A magazine carrying your own business identity
The concept goes beyond simply reposting articles from another publication.
Each selected operator can receive a dedicated editorial area customised around its business identity and references. A marina, brokerage company, charter agency or other yachting business can therefore offer readers its own editorial environment while relying on an existing publishing infrastructure.
The magazine becomes another digital touchpoint between the business and its community.
The content is already there
Creating a social media account is easy. Finding something worthwhile to publish on it every few days is considerably more difficult.
Y-MAG continuously provides articles within the network. Partners can select the stories most relevant to their audience and share them through their own communication channels.
Pages are also prepared using the Open Graph protocol, allowing compatible social platforms to automatically recognise elements such as the article image, headline and description when a link is shared.
From a local marina to an international audience
Yachting has never been confined by national borders. Owners, charter guests, crews, businesses and enthusiasts routinely move between countries, while the Mediterranean itself connects numerous markets and cultures.
Y-MAG articles are available in Italian and English and can also be read in many additional languages through automatic translation tools. This makes the same editorial content suitable for both domestic communities and international visitors.
Editorial content can open new commercial opportunities
A partner magazine can also include spaces dedicated to relevant sponsors and local businesses.
Hotels, restaurants, marine services and other businesses connected with the partner’s audience can potentially be promoted within these areas.
Under the Y-MAG model, any revenue generated from sponsors introduced by the partner remains entirely with that partner, with no royalty or percentage retained by Y-MAG. The network can also create the associated graphic or video banners at no cost to the partner.
Free does not mean passive
There are no joining fees or editorial costs for participating partners. Instead, the model is based on mutual collaboration.
Y-MAG creates and maintains the editorial environment, while partners select and regularly share the stories they consider relevant to their community.
Every shared article can bring readers back to the partner’s dedicated pages while also helping the wider network gain visibility and reach.
You do not need to become a publisher
Running an independent digital publication means managing technology, articles, images, translations, mobile optimisation, updates and social distribution. For most yachting operators, none of these activities belongs to their core business.
Y-MAG is designed around a simpler idea: provide the publishing environment and the content, then allow the operator to focus on its audience.
A marina can stay connected with boat owners even when they are away from the harbour. A yacht broker can maintain an editorial relationship with owners and prospective clients. A charter company can complement its commercial communication with stories about Mediterranean destinations, yachts, events and lifestyle.
The magazine therefore becomes more than another website page. It can become an ongoing communication channel.
Y-MAG selects the businesses joining the network
Participation is not automatically available to every applicant. Y-MAG states that partners are selected because the model depends on genuine participation and regular content sharing within each operator’s own community.
