The Abu Dhabi boat show strengthens the Gulf’s role in superyachts, marine tourism and new experiences on the water

From 19 to 22 November 2026, Abu Dhabi will once again become one of the international capitals of the marine industry with the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, an event dedicated to yachts, boats, marine technologies, sport fishing, water sports and the lifestyle surrounding life at sea.

The event will take place at Marina Hall, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, in a setting designed to connect shipyards, global brands, industry professionals, enthusiasts and new audiences attracted by the culture of life on the water.

Abu Dhabi invests in international yachting

The show confirms the growing role of the United Arab Emirates within the global yachting and marine tourism sectors. Abu Dhabi is not simply hosting an exhibition, but offering a broader experience in which boats and yachts are connected with travel, entertainment, design and hospitality.

The city benefits from turquoise waters, modern marinas, more than 200 islands and a rich coastal offering that makes the sea an essential part of its tourism identity. Within this setting, the event also becomes a showcase for presenting the Gulf as an increasingly attractive destination for yacht owners, charter operators, buyers and discerning travellers.

Superyachts and charter take centre stage

One of the most significant features of the 2026 edition is the return of the Superyacht & Charter Show, an area dedicated to luxury yacht charter and premium onboard experiences. This is particularly relevant, as charter is currently one of the most dynamic segments of the international yachting market.

For many industry operators, the market is no longer focused solely on the sale or construction of new yachts. It is also shaped by the ability to offer personalised experiences, exclusive services and itineraries that combine the sea, comfort and the discovery of new destinations.

A connection between the marine industry and new lifestyles

The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2026 is not aimed exclusively at industry specialists. Its format also welcomes visitors approaching the marine world for the first time, creating a meeting point between business, passion and curiosity.

Alongside boats, yachts and technical solutions, the show places strong emphasis on lifestyle. The 2026 edition will also introduce the Outdoor Living area, designed to extend the experience beyond the marina and include outdoor living, leisure, comfort and activities connected with open-air spaces.

Marine technology and on-water experiences

One of the show’s main strengths is its ability to bring visitors closer to the latest developments in boating, fishing and water sports. Live demonstrations and on-water experiences allow the public to interact directly with products, technologies and services.

For shipyards, distributors and international brands, this approach can turn a conventional product presentation into a genuine opportunity to build relationships with potential clients and partners. In the marine industry, where decisions are often influenced by personal impressions, details and trust, direct contact continues to play a decisive role.

The Gulf’s growing influence on global yachting

The Abu Dhabi event reflects an increasingly clear trend. Yachting is no longer concentrated exclusively around the traditional European and North American markets. The Gulf is establishing its own international role, supported by investment, modern infrastructure, high-end tourism and a strong focus on the sea as part of its identity.

For the Mediterranean market, this growth is also worth observing from a competitive perspective. Events such as the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show demonstrate how contemporary boat shows are evolving towards more integrated formats, where yachts, charter, destinations, hospitality and lifestyle become part of a single narrative.
