Summer jewellery does not need to be understated

Gold and platinum together, old rules become less important

That boundary has become much less rigid.

Yet diamonds no longer need to wait for a formal evening. One of the more interesting shifts in contemporary luxury has been the gradual disappearance of the rigid distinction between jewellery reserved for special occasions and pieces worn as part of everyday life.

From a yacht deck to dinner by the sea

Around the Mediterranean, a summer day can move effortlessly from cruising to a waterfront terrace, from swimwear in the afternoon to dinner by the sea a few hours later. In such a setting, versatility can become more valuable than traditional formality.

A substantial necklace can transform an extremely simple outfit, while a small composition of bracelets can give a lightweight dress an entirely different character. The same jewellery can therefore move through very different moments of the day without requiring an entirely new look each time.
