Itama 70 updates the open-yacht experience with almost 21 metres of Italian style, comfort and sporting character

Some yachts are designed around an ever-growing number of rooms and features. Others allow the sea, natural light and the pleasure of navigation to shape the experience. The new Itama 70 follows the second path, while introducing a more developed approach to comfort, onboard space and the connection between exterior and interior areas.

With an overall length of 20.93 metres, the model updates the Italian brand’s sporting tradition without abandoning the elements that make an Itama immediately recognisable, including its streamlined profile, open deck and close relationship with the surrounding horizon.

An open yacht created for the Mediterranean

The personality of the Itama 70 becomes apparent before stepping on board. Its side profile is sleek and clean, defined by continuous hull windows that make the yacht appear lighter and more dynamic. These glazed surfaces are not merely decorative, as they bring daylight into the accommodation and maintain a strong visual connection with the sea.

The deck retains the character of a genuine open yacht, encouraging freedom of movement and allowing guests to spend most of the day outside. This approach is naturally suited to the Mediterranean, where enjoying a yacht is not only about covering long distances, but also about anchoring in a quiet bay or sharing an evening beneath the open sky.

Outdoor areas designed as places to live

The exterior spaces are conceived as genuine social environments rather than simple circulation areas. The enlarged cockpit includes a generous lounge and a U-shaped dining area, providing a comfortable setting in which guests can gather while preserving the open feeling that defines the yacht.

At the bow, the sunpad is integrated flush with the deck. This solution protects the purity of the yacht’s profile while creating a privileged place from which to watch the coastline, relax at anchor or enjoy the movement of the yacht with few visual barriers.

The layout avoids forcing owners to choose between performance and conviviality. The Itama 70 maintains its dynamic character while offering several areas in which onboard life can unfold naturally throughout the day.

A helm station connected to the elements

The helm station is positioned to port and features a double ergonomic seat. Its location allows the person at the controls to remain connected with the guests in the cockpit, while providing a clear functional distinction between navigation and relaxation areas.

On a performance-oriented open yacht, driving is more than a practical way of travelling between destinations. It becomes a central part of the experience, particularly when the hull and propulsion system are designed to deliver an engaging response. The open environment heightens these sensations by bringing the helmsman closer to the wind, the water and the changing conditions at sea.

A more private atmosphere below deck

Below deck, the mood becomes quieter and more intimate without losing its connection with the outside world. The lower deck accommodates three cabins and three bathrooms, making the yacht suitable for family cruising as well as longer stays with guests.

The full-beam owner’s suite is located aft and includes an en-suite bathroom. Its floor is arranged on a single level, while steps between the other cabins have also been removed. This creates smoother circulation and gives the entire accommodation a stronger sense of visual and physical continuity.

Refined materials, clean geometry and contemporary finishes establish an elegant nautical atmosphere without relying on excessive decoration. The interiors appear designed to complement the calmer moments of life at sea, from resting after a day of cruising to enjoying breakfast before returning to the open deck.

Open-yacht performance with everyday comfort

The Itama 70 is offered with two propulsion options. The first features MAN V12 1400 engines and, according to the builder’s preliminary figures, delivers a maximum speed of 37 knots. The more powerful configuration uses MAN V12 1550 engines and is expected to reach 39 knots.

These figures place the yacht firmly within the high-performance open category, although speed represents only one part of the project. A maximum beam of 5.30 metres creates substantial interior and exterior volume, while the 1.75-metre draught makes the yacht suitable for exploring a broad range of Mediterranean coastal destinations.

Its identity lies in the balance between size, performance and onboard usability. The Itama 70 does not attempt to become a floating residence, nor does it sacrifice comfort in pursuit of speed alone.

Contemporary luxury built around freedom

The Itama 70 presents a form of luxury based less on excess and more on the quality of time spent on board. Its value can be found in the effortless movement between spaces, the constant presence of the seascape and the ability to alternate between fast cruising, social occasions and private moments.

An optional crew cabin also allows the yacht to suit different ownership styles. It may be operated directly by its owner or configured for more structured cruising with professional support on board.

With this model, the Italian builder develops its interpretation of the open yacht without erasing its distinctive character. The new Itama 70 remains a yacht that can be recognised from a distance, while introducing a more sophisticated level of liveability for owners who want both excitement at the helm and comfort throughout their time at sea.
