"The hull lines of the new Mazu 82 have been designed internally to offer a perfect balance between maximum speed, engine holding capacity and fuel efficiency," says Halit Yukay, lead designer and CEO of Mazu Yachts. "At cruising speed the yacht burns about 600 liters of fuel per hour for a radius of just under 400 nautical miles or about 12 hours of cruising."At 25 meters in length, the Mazu 82 offers much more volume than the shipyard’s previous 62-foot flagship. This large space is enriched with independently designed furniture, custom designed by the famous designer Tanju Özelgin. The external profile of the 82 feet is characterized by the main flush deck without steps and by the angular lines of the deckhouse entirely in glass. Where possible, the yard used one-piece glass sheets. The tempered and laminated windshield has a thickness of over 22 mm and with an internal PVB layer it is literally bulletproof. The glass is also extra clear to eliminate distortions and reflections. At the owner’s special request, Mazu modified the design of the aft deck to include steps, which can be transformed into comfortable sofas, leading to the beach club."The multifunctional design was very important for the owner," says Yukay. "In fact, the open bow deck has three different uses: as a sunbathing area, a dining area for 12 people and a cinema area with an adjustable flat screen."
