This is the first time that BMW has decided to make such an important reinterpretation of the historic logo in 103 years of history. And while the differences may not seem so important to the untrained eye, it is clear that for the brand this process has an important meaning.Jens Thiemer has revealed that the logo will be used in all internal and external communications of the brand, and intends to "radiate greater openness and clarity". He went on to explain that BMW hopes that its new transparent logo "invites our customers more than ever to join the BMW world". The blue and white at the center of the design no longer represent an airplane propeller, as has long been thought, but instead are the colors of the Bavarian state in which the brand was born. The logo made its debut on the hood of the Concept i4. The innovative car opens a new electric era for the BMW Gran Coupé. The clear surface design, the roof line with a hatchback character and the delicately sculpted shapes give the car a sporty and elegant appearance further enhanced by the Frozen Light Copper paint. Precise lines underline the exceptional dynamic potential of purely electric propulsion. In addition, the blue elements on the front, side and rear are inspired by the BMW i, the origin of this trendy Gran Coupé. The cockpit of the BMW Concept i4 is essential and driver-oriented with a large Curved Display as the central display unit. At the same time, the interior, bright and open with a panoramic glass passing roof, optimally expresses the calm and sovereignty typical of electric motors.
