The 50-metre-long ship will be built entirely of aluminium with the collaboration of the Van Oossanen Naval Architects naval architecture team, which has designed a hull that will allow the ship to perform even better. The vessel is currently under construction and is expected to be launched in January 2021.The exterior design is the work of Omega Architects. Frank Laupman, the firm’s lead designer, said: "Aquamarine fully fits into Heesen’s tradition and heritage in the production of sports ships, even if the overall design of the ship tells us something more distinctive."He added, that the ship’s raised stern deck features a floor-to-ceiling beach club that connects directly to the deck level for bathing, combining harmoniously with hull design. The interiors were created by Cristiano Gatto and his team who chose a Japanese-inspired theme for furniture and colors. The goal of making guests feel comfortable guided the choice of design without leaving aside the sense of elegance that pervades all the interiors.Aquamarine offers accommodation for a total of 12 guests in luxurious and comfortable rooms, including the owner’s cabin, two double suites, and two sister suites. The ship is also capable of carrying 9 crew members.Aquamarine will probably be the first fast-cruising yacht in the world under 500GT to be compatible with the IMO Tier III certification.
