Blue Ocean, the brand new Support Yacht by Damen

Damen launched a new 55-meter yacht support vessel at its shipyard in Antalya, Turkey this week. The "Blue Ocean" support yacht is the latest unit in Damen�s growing 55m yacht support fleet and the eighth version of its YS 5009 design. Built to accompany large yachts on adventurous crossings, it was designed with special features that make it the ideal support for diving, the ship will be available for delivery this spring.

Blue Ocean is the first yacht support vessel built with a dedicated hangar on the main deck. This versatile space is designed to facilitate diving operations and can also be used as a vehicle storage space or as a workshop. Optionally, a 12-tonne crane can be installed to facilitate the entry into the water of vehicles stored inside the Blue Ocean.

The Blue Ocean, in addition to being extremely functional, can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests in four individual cabins. An added convenience when taking longer excursions.

Built to navigate in all weather conditions, the ship can reach a speed of 20 knots and cover a distance of 5,000 nm without having to refuel.
