But its time as a training fishing schooner was very short as it was sold in 1931 to German owners and converted into a luxury sailing yacht at the werft Schlichting in Travemànde.

Renamed CAROLA, it became the largest private yacht in Germany in 1932. Sold in 1938 to a member of the Yacht Club de France, a scientific cruise unfortunately stopped by the outbreak of World War II began in July 1939. Perhaps to save her from possible kidnapping in these times of war, CAROLA was sent to Morocco French, precisely to Casablanca, where she remained throughout the war and in the following years.

An important refit was necessary in 2002, in order to bring it back to the splendours of the time and modernize its parts in order to make it comfortable and efficient. The steel hull needed a major overhaul such as the engine, rebuilt in all its parts. After another 12 years, between projects to refit and replace parts, in August 2014, the beautiful schooner, renamed TRINAKRIA was ready for the first sea trials.

TRINAKRIA then sailed to Morocco, Spain, Sicily, Malta, South Italy, the Adriatic Sea and the south of France. She continues to amaze anyone who watches her as she sails in the Mediterranean. Available for magnificent charters during the summer, the ship can carry, at 44 meters, as many as 12 guests.
