The case is cut from materials such as black ceramics or titanium in a "sandwich" construction, an innovative style invented by Hublot in 2005. Extremely complex, it includes 42 components, 27 of which are for the K module alone, the "cage" that houses the digital heart of the watch.

The design of the screws and pushers, the sapphire crystal and the rubber strap, with deployant buckle invented by Hublot in 1980 for the Classic model and the patented One Click system for easy interchangeability, leave no doubt: detail in detail, it is clear that this is a real Big Bang!

“Electronic watches were created in Switzerland using quartz in the 1970s," Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe said in a press release. "Fifty years later, we continue in the same innovative vein by producing a second smartwatch that boasts a very high level of technological sophistication, while embodying all the aesthetic values, technical characteristics and excellence that have ensured the reputation of our Big Bang collection.”

The new smartwatch, developed in collaboration with other brands of the LVMH group, will have the metal hour numbers placed under the crystal surface which in turn will be covered by a high-definition AMOLED touchscreen. Just like a mechanical version of the Big Bang, its rotating crown with a built-in pusher is used to activate the controls of its electronic module.

Powered by Google’s Wear operating system, it is highly customizable and will allow users to access apps on Google Play, use Google Assitant and shop with Google Pay.
