With the 797 Spectre, Frauscher expands its runabout range with a 7.92-metre model built around compact proportions, sculpted surfaces and a focused driving position. Introduced in February 2026, the new boat develops several recognisable elements of the Austrian yard’s design language in a format conceived for direct and dynamic use on the water.
Compact proportions and sculpted surfaces
The 797 Spectre measures 7.92 metres in length and 2.37 metres in beam, with a weight starting from 2,400 kg. The exterior avoids substantial superstructures, placing the emphasis instead on the hull profile, frameless tinted windscreen and visual continuity between the bow and cockpit.
Frauscher describes the design in terms of sculpted lines and confident proportions. Beyond the yard’s own language, the boat’s character comes primarily from the combination of relatively low volumes, defined surfaces and details that preserve the brand’s established visual identity.
A cockpit combining digital and analogue elements
One of the more distinctive design features is the helm station. The cockpit combines a 12-inch multifunction display with five traditional round instruments, bringing digital information together with a visual reference to analogue instrumentation.
The controls are arranged around a clear, driver-focused layout. Front seats with foldable seating surfaces, a low windscreen and teak finishes create an environment centred on driving while retaining the practical elements expected from a day boat.
Teak, sunpad and carefully used space
Teak is used on the foredeck, cockpit floor, side storage areas and bathing platform. A generous sunpad occupies the aft section, while a bimini provides shade when the boat is being used at rest.
Below deck, a cabin offers upholstery and ambient lighting. Rather than attempting to turn a sub-eight-metre boat into a small cruiser, the arrangement uses the available volume to provide a sheltered space that complements outdoor living.
Two V8 options for the same design
The propulsion range includes two MerCruiser petrol V8 options. The 350 hp version uses the 6.2-litre engine, while the higher specification reaches 430 hp with the 8.2-litre V8.
Frauscher combines these engines with a hull developed to provide balance and stability at higher speeds. Fuel capacity is 240 litres and the manufacturer’s certification provides for up to six people aboard.
Continuity in Frauscher’s design language
The 797 Spectre does not attempt to establish an entirely new visual language for the brand. Instead, it brings several familiar Frauscher elements into a 7.92-metre platform: a low profile, clearly defined surfaces, traditional marine materials and a strong emphasis on the driving position.
The resulting design keeps form and use closely connected. Within relatively compact dimensions, the 797 Spectre presents a runabout focused primarily on the driving experience while retaining a layout suited to spending a day on the water.
