Rossinavi Heed is a 53-metre full-custom superyacht with two pools, an upper-deck owner’s suite and battery-powered hotel mode

With Heed, Rossinavi has developed a 53-metre full-custom superyacht built entirely in aluminium around a clear principle: strengthening the relationship between life on board and the sea while remaining below 500 GT. Launched in Pisa in January 2026 and later presented in her complete form at the Monaco Yacht Show, the yacht brings together Alberto Mancini Yacht Design, Achille Salvagni Architetti and Arrabito Naval Architect.

A 53-metre yacht developed below 500 GT

Heed measures 53 metres overall, with a 9.1-metre beam and a maximum draught of 2.5 metres. Her all-aluminium construction and fast-displacement hull were developed to provide substantial living volumes without exceeding the 500 GT threshold.

The project grew out of a direct dialogue between the shipyard and the owner. Matty Zadnikar of SeaNet SuperYachts acted as Owner’s Representative, coordinating the designers and construction process.

The owner’s suite moves to the upper deck

One of the most distinctive aspects of the layout is the position of the owner’s suite. Rather than occupying the conventional forward section of the main deck, it is located forward on the upper deck.

Extensive glazing opens the cabin towards a private outdoor area containing a pool that can also be used for counter-current swimming. The arrangement separates the owner’s area from much of the activity elsewhere on board and establishes a direct visual relationship with the horizon.

Moving the suite also allowed the remaining spaces to be reorganised, making the distribution of the decks an integral part of the yacht’s architecture.

The beach club opens at water level

Aft, the beach club incorporates a second swimming pool and fold-down side platforms. Once deployed, they increase the usable outdoor area and bring the space physically closer to the surface of the sea.

The connection between inside and outside continues on the main deck. The saloon uses large floor-to-ceiling windows, while the dining area is separated from the living space and opens onto a fold-down balcony on the starboard side.

Higher up, an Observation Deck completes the sequence of exterior areas with a dedicated elevated viewpoint.

Exterior design by Alberto Mancini

The exterior styling is by Alberto Mancini Yacht Design. The profile uses strong horizontal lines, relatively compact volumes and a superstructure designed to remain visually coherent despite the amount of interior space available.

The metallic grey hull finish emphasises the surfaces and changes the perception of the yacht’s geometry as the light moves across it. The study of proportions was also shaped by the 500 GT limit, which became a design parameter around which volumes, circulation and openings towards the sea were organised.

Interiors by Achille Salvagni

The interiors are by Achille Salvagni Architetti. Soft, continuous forms, pale woods, marble and metallic details create a language deliberately different from the more architectural geometry of the exterior.

Much of the furniture and detailing was developed specifically for the yacht. The intention is to maintain individual character within each space while preserving an overall sense of continuity through materials, forms and tonal relationships.

Salvagni’s approach works particularly with perception: curved surfaces, fluid transitions and material contrasts soften the conventional boundaries between spaces aboard a large yacht.

Battery power for silent operation at anchor

Heed incorporates a battery system designed to support onboard hotel services while the yacht is at anchor. In this mode, the diesel generators can be switched off, eliminating their local operating emissions while also reducing noise and vibration.

This does not make Heed a fully electric propulsion yacht. The batteries are primarily associated with hotel mode, supplying the services required for life on board when the vessel is not under way.

For guests, the most immediate benefit is experiential: systems can remain operational at anchor without the continuous background noise normally generated by diesel gensets.

A yacht where layout becomes part of the identity

Heed does not rely on a single technical or stylistic feature to define her character. Instead, the project combines the unconventional location of the owner’s suite, two swimming pools, an expandable beach club, extensive glazing and quieter operation while at anchor.

The yacht illustrates how, even within the constraints of 500 GT, spatial organisation can become one of the main tools for creating a distinctive superyacht. Rather than relying simply on greater dimensions, Heed builds much of her identity around the way people move between interior, exterior and sea.
