FAST NAAN, the first ISA Viper 130 takes performance beyond speed

FAST NAAN is the first ISA Viper 130, a 38.8-metre performance yacht capable of 33 knots and designed around generous spaces by the sea

FAST NAAN is the first ISA Viper 130 to turn the Italian shipyard’s new performance concept into a yacht on the water. Launched in Ancona on 25 August 2026, the 38.8-metre yacht is built around a clear idea: speed should broaden the possibilities of life at sea rather than become the boat’s only reason for being.

Its 33-knot top speed therefore tells only part of the story. Behind the Viper 130’s taut profile are opening terraces, a pool forward, a generous beach area and spaces designed to suit very different moments of the day. This balance between performance and liveability gives FAST NAAN a character that goes beyond the conventional idea of a fast yacht.

Three engines and three waterjets for 33 knots

FAST NAAN is powered by three MAN V12X engines producing 2,200 hp each, coupled with two MJP waterjets and a central MJP booster. This configuration gives the yacht a declared maximum speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 26 knots.

The planing hull is built in GRP with carbon-fibre reinforcements, reflecting the focus on high performance while retaining structural strength and careful weight management. Naval architecture was developed by ISA Yachts with Studio Ing. Arnaboldi, while Fulvio De Simoni designed the interiors and collaborated with the shipyard on the exterior styling.

The yacht makes little attempt to disguise its purpose. Its low, dynamic profile immediately communicates speed, yet performance has not come at the expense of the generous spaces more commonly associated with yachts focused primarily on cruising.

Three levels shape life at the stern

The aft section is perhaps the part of the Viper 130 that best explains its personality. Rather than one conventional cockpit, it is arranged across three consecutive areas that gradually lead from the water towards the interior.

At the lowest level is the beach area, directly overlooking the sea and equipped with a transformer serving as both swimming ladder and passerelle. Two side steps lead to a large aft-facing sunpad and a lounge furnished with sofas and a coffee table.

Two opening side balconies further extend the available surface, turning the stern into a broader terrace, particularly when the yacht is at anchor.

The third area is devoted to outdoor dining, with a table for ten guests. An aft galley combined with the bar introduces an unusual degree of flexibility: a retractable privacy glass panel can open the space completely for show cooking or cocktails, or separate the galley from guests when a more discreet service is preferred.

A pool forward changes the balance on board

ISA chose to concentrate access towards the bow along the port side only. This makes better use of the yacht’s internal volume and, importantly, leaves the forward section free to become another dedicated guest area.

Here FAST NAAN features a pool surrounded by sunpads and sofas. Rather than simply replicating the atmosphere at the stern, it creates a more secluded setting and allows guests to spread naturally across different parts of the yacht.

The concept feels particularly appropriate for long Mediterranean days. The beach area, aft deck, bow and sun deck can all be used simultaneously, giving guests a choice between sociable areas and quieter places to spend time.

Inside, the sea remains part of the setting

A second bar marks the transition into the main saloon, which is arranged as two separate lounge areas. Large opening floor-to-ceiling windows bring natural light inside and maintain a direct visual relationship with the surroundings.

The approach continues the philosophy established outdoors: avoiding a sharp separation between interior and exterior. FAST NAAN provides protected, climate-controlled spaces while keeping them connected to the light, water and open-air environment that defines much of the yacht.

The wheelhouse is positioned forward on the main deck, while a staircase on the port side leads down to the guest accommodation on the lower deck.

Five cabins for eleven guests

Below deck, the accommodation includes the owner’s cabin with two bathrooms and four additional double guest cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom.

Two cabins are fitted with double beds and two with twin beds; one of the twin cabins also has an additional Pullman berth. FAST NAAN can therefore accommodate a total of 11 guests in five cabins.

Crew circulation has been designed separately. Access to the crew quarters is located inside the galley and leads to three en-suite cabins for up to six crew members, helping keep service routes discreet and separate from guest areas.

The sun deck becomes a destination of its own

Beneath the carbon-fibre hardtop, the sun deck is more than an additional panoramic area. It includes a second helm station, a large aft sunpad, a lounge with sofas and armchairs, a bar and another dining table for ten.

The ability to spend several hours here without relying on the other decks gives the space a degree of independence. Under way it can become a privileged place from which to enjoy the passage; at anchor it provides another substantial social area.

A side garage on the starboard side follows the same principle of keeping the main guest spaces clear and can accommodate a 5-metre tender.

The first Viper 130 looks beyond Ancona

The launch of FAST NAAN marks the arrival of the Viper 130 as a real addition to the ISA Yachts fleet. Its international public debut is scheduled for the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, followed by the Monaco Yacht Show.

Yet the yacht’s identity will ultimately be revealed away from the show docks. With shallow draft, high speed and several outdoor areas closely connected to the water, FAST NAAN is designed to move quickly between destinations without sacrificing what happens once the engines are switched off.

That may be the Viper 130’s most convincing interpretation of performance: not simply arriving sooner, but having greater freedom to choose where to spend the day and how to enjoy it.
