Lady A, 67 metres for taking life at sea at your own pace

Built by Benetti in 2024, Lady A combines Giorgio Cassetta’s exterior design with spaces devoted to wellbeing, social life and a close connection with the sea

Lady A belongs to that category of superyachts where size becomes meaningful when it is translated into time and space to enjoy. Built by Benetti in 2024, she measures 67 metres and features exterior design by Giorgio Cassetta. Rather than relying on a single spectacular feature to define the experience, her decks offer a sequence of different settings that can accompany guests from early morning through to the evening.

A home at sea that changes throughout the day

On a charter yacht, being able to choose where to spend your time can be more rewarding than simply having a large amount of space. Lady A features a sundeck with a Jacuzzi, bar and lounge areas, together with generous outdoor spaces that allow guests to share the experience without giving up the possibility of finding somewhere more private.

The result is a yacht that can be enjoyed in different ways throughout the day, moving naturally from an outdoor lunch to an afternoon in the sun and then to a quieter evening setting.

The beach club brings the holiday down to water level

At the stern, the beach club changes the relationship between the yacht and the sea. A fold-down terrace expands the available space and brings guests closer to the water, while a dedicated Jet Ski dock makes it easier to enjoy the yacht’s collection of water toys.

This is perhaps where a superyacht such as Lady A reveals its Mediterranean character most clearly. Once anchored in a bay, the yacht is no longer simply somewhere from which to admire the landscape. It becomes the starting point for swimming, setting off in a tender, riding a Seabob or spending an afternoon just above the surface of the sea.

A master suite with a more private dimension

One of the distinctive elements of the accommodation is the master suite with its private deck, study and sauna. The owner’s area therefore becomes much more than somewhere to sleep, extending into a personal environment that can also be enjoyed during parts of the day normally spent in communal spaces.

Lady A offers seven staterooms in total and accommodates up to 12 guests. The ability to retain a degree of privacy while sharing the yacht with family or friends becomes an important part of the experience, particularly during longer charters.

Warm materials behind the generous volumes

Ocean Independence describes interiors featuring curly maple, Macassar ebony and Saint Laurent marble. These distinctive materials help shape sophisticated surroundings without turning the yacht into a purely formal environment.

On a yacht of this size, the relationship between materials, natural light and proportions has a major influence on how the interiors are perceived. The overall approach appears intended to create rooms that retain their elegance while remaining comfortable enough for everyday life, with a residential atmosphere rather than an overly ceremonial one.

Wellbeing without leaving the journey behind

A sauna, gym, Jacuzzi and numerous relaxation areas bring onboard some of the experiences normally associated with a resort. The significant difference is that the view can change every day.

An elevator also makes moving between decks easier, a practical detail that becomes genuinely useful on a 67-metre yacht. Lady A therefore does not treat cruising, exercise and wellbeing as separate experiences. They can all be part of the same day, allowing guests to set their own pace.

The sea becomes a playground

The selection of equipment for activities on the water is extensive. Ocean Independence lists, among other toys, Fliteboards, Seabobs, Jet Skis, paddleboards, water skis, wakeboards, a kayak, kitesurfing equipment and a Tiwal sailing dinghy, alongside inflatable structures designed for fun on the water.

Lady A is also listed as an RYA PWC Training Centre, enabling guests to receive the necessary training for personal watercraft while on board. The attraction is therefore not simply the number of toys carried by the yacht, but the opportunity to create very different days without necessarily leaving the anchorage.

From the Mediterranean to the Caribbean

Lady A has a steel hull, a beam of 10.6 metres and a gross tonnage of 1,238 GT. Ocean Independence states a range of approximately 4,400 nautical miles at 12 knots, supporting a cruising programme that can move between very different regions.

For charter, Lady A is offered in the Mediterranean from April to October, including destinations in Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Malta, Cyprus and Turkey. During the winter months, her programme moves towards the Caribbean and the Bahamas.

The value of being able to choose

On Lady A, luxury is not defined solely by the yacht’s size or the range of facilities on board. It is also about being able to decide continuously how to spend the day: retreat to a private terrace, head down to the beach club, work out, leave aboard a tender, have lunch outside or remain at anchor until sunset.

That freedom is particularly well suited to charter, when a yacht becomes a moving destination for a few days. Lady A’s 67 metres are therefore not simply about making an impression. They create alternatives, and when the sea is at the centre of a holiday, being able to change the programme without necessarily changing location may be one of the most appealing privileges of all.
