The new Ferretti Yachts 720 brings a fresh interpretation of space, comfort and freedom to a 22.5-metre flybridge yacht

The new Ferretti Yachts 720 starts with a significant figure, a length of 22.5 metres, but its identity is defined above all by the way the onboard spaces are organised. The shipyard positions it within its flybridge range as a yacht combining elegance, freedom of movement and cruising comfort, with an approach designed for extended stays on board while maintaining a close connection with the outdoors.

A flybridge designed as a true living deck

On a yacht of this size, the flybridge is much more than an alternative helm station. It becomes one of the main living areas during the day, expanding the possibilities for outdoor life and allowing guests to spread naturally across the different decks.

This philosophy is particularly suited to Mediterranean cruising, where life on board often develops from the outside in. Time spent at anchor, coastal passages and stops at summer destinations turn terraces, open decks and social areas into an essential part of the experience.

22.5 metres with four cabins

The new 720 has an overall length of 22.5 metres, a maximum beam of 5.6 metres and a declared draft of 1.8 metres. The accommodation layout provides four guest cabins plus one crew cabin, making the yacht suitable both for family use and for cruising with friends.

The shipyard lists a light displacement of 48,000 kg and a full-load displacement of 57,000 kg. These figures place the model firmly in the category of yachts intended not only for day trips but also for longer stays on board.

Classic or contemporary, two interpretations of the interior

One of the most interesting aspects of the new Ferretti Yachts 720 is the choice between two different interior moods, classic and contemporary, both created by Italian design studio IDEAEITALIA.

This option allows the atmosphere of the spaces to change without altering the underlying character of the yacht. Materials, combinations and interior language can therefore bring the yacht closer to the owner’s personal taste, creating two distinct interpretations.

It is not simply a choice between two decorative schemes. It allows the onboard environment to lean towards a more traditional character or a more current aesthetic.

Different performance options for different cruising styles

Standard propulsion consists of twin MAN V8 engines rated at 1,200 hp, providing a declared maximum speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots.

Alternatively, the yacht can be equipped with twin MAN V12 engines rated at 1,400 hp. In this configuration, preliminary shipyard figures indicate a maximum speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots.

Owners can therefore choose a setup closer to their usual cruising requirements or opt for additional power and performance. In both cases, the 720 retains the character of a yacht designed to combine passages, time at anchor and cruising between relatively close destinations.

Onboard capacity for longer stays at sea

Fuel capacity totals 4,600 litres, while fresh water capacity is 1,000 litres. These figures become particularly relevant during multi-day cruising and when reducing the need for frequent marina stops is part of the plan.

Part of the appeal of a yacht of this size lies in the ability to change plans easily. A night in port can become a day at anchor, a short passage can extend towards another destination, and the onboard spaces must continue to work naturally without changing the rhythm of the holiday.

A yacht designed around time spent on board

The new Ferretti Yachts 720 does not appear to define its evolution through one spectacular feature alone. Instead, its approach combines dimensions, layout, personalisation and performance to create a more complete onboard experience.

That combination is what makes the model interesting within the flybridge segment just above 20 metres. Four cabins make shared cruising easier, the flybridge expands outdoor living, the two interior interpretations provide room for personal taste and the different engine options allow owners to select the character of their cruising experience.

During a season spent between bays, marinas and new Mediterranean destinations, the quality of a yacht can also be measured by how naturally it adapts to very different moments of the day. It is around this balance that the new 720 builds its identity.
