Genie Blu leaves Antalya, bringing Alia Yachts’ distinctive vision of open, sea-connected living to the Mediterranean

Genie Blu, the new 45-metre fully custom superyacht built by Alia Yachts, departed the Antalya shipyard on 1 August 2026 and began her journey towards Italy. The delivery marks the beginning of a new chapter for a yacht shaped by a clear idea, not to fill every available metre, but to create an environment where the sea can be experienced from almost every part of the vessel.

A low profile that changes the proportions

Viewed from the side, Genie Blu appears to stretch across the water rather than rise above it. Her low superstructure, taut lines and uninterrupted surfaces reduce the visual separation between decks, giving the yacht the character of a much larger and more sophisticated dayboat.

The approach is unusual in a market where increasing interior volume has often produced taller and more imposing silhouettes. Genie Blu follows a different route, using her dimensions to create openness and balance rather than visual weight.

At 45 metres in length, with a beam of 8.89 metres, a draught of 2.33 metres and an internal volume of approximately 370 GT, the yacht remains substantial without appearing excessive. Her aluminium hull and superstructure form part of a semi-displacement platform developed around clean proportions and a deliberately restrained presence on the water.

Bringing the sea into the interior

Floor-to-ceiling glazing is one of the project’s defining features. In the main saloon, the surrounding view is not treated merely as a backdrop but as part of the interior itself. An open-plan arrangement and a calm, neutral decorative palette allow natural light, moving water and distant coastlines to shape the atmosphere on board.

Rather than relying on an accumulation of elaborate materials, the interior adopts a quieter contemporary language. The spaces are intended to accompany everyday life at sea without competing for attention, making Genie Blu as interesting for what has been removed as for what has been added.

Terraces connected by a natural flow

At the stern, raised cockpit seating leads through a broad series of steps towards the swim platform. The arrangement creates a descending terrace over the water, visually linking the cockpit, outdoor lounge and bathing area.

Fold-down side wings extend the usable deck space and further soften the boundary between the yacht and the sea. Forward, a generous lounge and open foredeck provide additional places for relaxing while cruising or at anchor. A discreet sunpad area has also been incorporated above the superstructure without disturbing the yacht’s low overall profile.

A yacht developed around its owner

Genie Blu was created for Italian entrepreneur Gianluca Vacchi as a completely bespoke project. Alia Yachts’ in-house design and engineering teams worked with Luca Dini Design & Architecture, which refined the exterior concept and developed the interiors from the initial idea through to completion.

Naval architecture is credited to Lateral Naval Architects. The finished yacht therefore combines the technical and construction capabilities of the Antalya shipyard with an Italian design approach focused on visual lightness, natural illumination and continuity between indoor and outdoor living.

Elegance through subtraction

Genie Blu offers a different interpretation of the contemporary superyacht. The aim is not necessarily to build higher, add more rooms or introduce another level of complexity. Instead, the yacht uses space selectively, giving guests a stronger sense of being connected to the surrounding environment.

Her elegance comes from controlled proportions and the decision to remove elements that might interrupt views or restrict movement. Following her launch in June 2026 and the subsequent testing period, the departure from Antalya marks the moment when those design principles move from drawings and renderings into life at sea.

A new presence in the Mediterranean

Now delivered and heading towards Italy, Genie Blu is preparing to make her debut in the Mediterranean. Her long white silhouette will undoubtedly attract attention, although the true character of the project becomes clearer at closer range.

The expansive glazing, open terraces and routes leading directly towards the water reveal a yacht designed not simply to be admired from a marina, but to be used as a personal place from which to experience the sea.
