Located south of Gabicce Mare and north of Pesaro, Vallugola is a convenient stop for boats cruising through the central Adriatic. It is also an excellent starting point for visiting Gabicce Monte, Casteldimezzo, Fiorenzuola di Focara, Gradara, Cattolica and Riccione.

An intimate size that feels like a privilege

Vallugola does not try to imitate large marinas with monumental buildings or endless rows of berths. Its character comes from its compact dimensions and welcoming atmosphere, where the pontoons, facilities and leisure areas are all within easy reach.

The marina offers approximately 150 berths for boats of different sizes, ranging from smaller craft to yachts measuring up to 18 metres. The official website reports an average depth of about 1.80 metres at mid-tide. Skippers should always confirm current conditions with the marina before entering, taking their vessel’s draught and the weather into account.

Practical services close to the berth

The pontoons provide fresh water and electricity, while visiting boat owners can also use complimentary Wi-Fi, toilets, showers and mooring assistance. Lighting and round-the-clock surveillance contribute to a comfortable stay, both for regular berth holders and boats in transit.

Additional facilities include parking, an area for dry storage, a slipway, lifting equipment with a capacity of up to five tonnes and diving assistance. The marina can be contacted on VHF channel 8, while berth availability is displayed through online calendars and can be confirmed directly with the harbour office.

From the pontoon to the beach in a few steps

One of Vallugola’s most appealing features is the proximity between the marina and the beach. After leaving the boat, visitors can reach the bay’s pebble shoreline within minutes, choosing between a public area and an equipped beach club.

Bars and restaurants make it possible to spend the entire day beside the water. A morning swim, a walk along the quay and dinner overlooking the boats can follow one another naturally, without transfers or a tightly organised schedule.

A coastline made for unhurried exploration

Sailing from Vallugola offers a distinctive view of the Monte San Bartolo cliffs. During the summer season, local excursions explore the coast towards Fiorenzuola di Focara, Casteldimezzo and the smaller coves hidden beneath the headlands.

Several of these secluded stretches are easier to reach by boat than by following the park’s steep paths. A short cruise can therefore become an opportunity to swim away from the busiest beaches, go snorkelling above rocky seabeds or simply admire the coastline from the sea.

The flavours of the Marche beside the sea

Life in Vallugola naturally continues around the table. Restaurants and cafés around the harbour offer the chance to enjoy lunch or dinner beside the marina, with menus inspired by seafood and the culinary traditions of the Adriatic coast.

Travellers interested in exploring further can head towards the villages of Monte San Bartolo or the nearby town of Gradara. Historic streets, countryside views and regional cuisine turn the marina into a base for a journey combining boating, nature and local culture.

Feeling far away without being isolated

Although Vallugola feels secluded, it remains close to the main destinations and transport routes of the area. By road, it can be reached from the Adriatic state highway by following the signs near Colombarone. From the sea, it lies on the stretch of coastline between Gabicce Mare and Pesaro.

This balance is part of its appeal. Visitors can enjoy quiet surroundings and a slower rhythm while remaining within easy reach of the Adriatic Riviera’s towns and essential boating services.

A small gem for those who appreciate an authentic marina

Porto di Vallugola does not rely on extravagance. Its identity comes from the shape of the bay, the understated presence of the boats and the woodland reaching almost to the water. It suits travellers who see a berth not merely as a practical necessity, but as part of the pleasure of cruising.

Whether chosen for a stop along an Adriatic itinerary, a day on the water or a longer stay in the northern Marche, Vallugola offers a more intimate approach to yachting. It is a small coastal gem, best approached slowly and often left with a certain reluctance.
