Some boats are primarily designed to reach a destination. Others encourage everyone on board to enjoy every part of the journey. The new Patrone 45 Open clearly belongs to the latter group. The Ligurian shipyard’s new flagship reinterprets the traditional Mediterranean gozzo through generous spaces, contemporary lines and a strong focus on shared life at sea.

Measuring 14 metres overall and designed by Tommaso Spadolini, the model has been conceived for owners who prefer to spend most of the day outdoors without treating the accommodation below deck as an afterthought. The result is an elegant and versatile open cruiser, equally suited to a relaxed day trip or a longer cruise with family and friends.

A new flagship shaped by Ligurian tradition

The profile retains the distinctive seagoing character of the Ligurian gozzo while avoiding an overly nostalgic interpretation. Its lines are clean, balanced and free from unnecessary details, creating a design that respects tradition while presenting the personality of a contemporary yacht.

A beam of 4.40 metres provides substantial proportions and a remarkable amount of usable space. High bulwarks shelter the cockpit, while wide side decks allow guests to move easily between the stern and bow. The layout has been developed to make life on deck feel natural, even when people of different ages and needs are travelling together.

A cockpit at the heart of the day

The stern opens onto a large bathing platform close to the water, providing a convenient area for swimming, relaxing and boarding. From here, guests enter the cockpit, which is available in different configurations to suit the owner’s preferred way of using the boat.

The dining area can accommodate up to eight people and is served by a fully equipped outdoor galley sheltered beneath the T-top. Informal lunches, sunset drinks and quiet afternoons at anchor can therefore be enjoyed in one genuinely social setting, without separating guests into different areas of the yacht.

Navigation becomes a shared experience

The helm station follows the same philosophy. An ergonomic dashboard is combined with seating for four, allowing the owner to share the journey rather than experience navigation as an isolated activity.

The Patrone 45 Open suggests that the day does not begin only after the yacht reaches its chosen bay. The route itself, the manoeuvres and the changing coastline all become part of the experience, creating a more relaxed and inclusive way of travelling.

An open-air retreat at the bow

Two wide side decks lead forward to a large sunbed covering approximately six square metres. This generous area is likely to become one of the most popular places on board, whether used for relaxing during a gentle cruise, reading at anchor or simply watching the Mediterranean horizon.

The uninterrupted eco-teak deck enhances the sense of space and creates visual continuity throughout the exterior. Rather than relying on complicated features, the yacht makes an impression through the quality of its spaces and the ease with which they can be enjoyed.

Bright interiors beyond expectation

Below deck, large hull windows bring natural light almost all the way to the bow. They create interiors that feel more open and airy than the yacht’s streamlined exterior profile might initially suggest.

The forward owner’s cabin has its own en-suite bathroom, while the available layouts can provide up to three cabins, two bathrooms and accommodation for six guests. Owners may also choose an additional indoor galley, allowing the interior to prioritise entertaining, family cruising or more generous private spaces for a couple.

A yacht designed around its owner

Personalisation extends well beyond upholstery and exterior colours. Three cockpit arrangements and five interior configurations can substantially change the way the yacht is experienced.

This approach reflects the craftsmanship of Cantiere Navale Patrone Moreno, whose boatbuilding heritage dates back to 1922. Each example can therefore become a genuinely personal yacht, created around individual cruising habits rather than the needs of an abstract, standard owner.

Performance and safety for real cruising

Beneath its elegant and relaxed atmosphere, the Patrone 45 Open retains an authentically seagoing character. Its hull builds on the shipyard’s experience with previous open models and can be paired with two inboard diesel engines, each delivering up to 404 kW through V-Drive transmissions.

The yacht has a displacement of 14 tonnes, a draught of 1.15 metres and CE Category B certification. Total fuel capacity is 1,460 litres, while fresh-water capacity reaches 440 litres, figures that support cruising beyond the limits of a conventional day boat.

Environmental choices integrated into the design

Comfort is accompanied by several measures intended to reduce environmental impact and improve the management of onboard resources. Eco-teak is used for the exterior deck, offering both an attractive finish and easier maintenance, while low-impact coatings are applied to the natural wood used below deck.

The T-top can also accommodate solar panels capable of supporting part of the yacht’s onboard energy requirements. Rather than turning the Patrone 45 Open into a technology showcase, these solutions are discreetly integrated into everyday life at sea.

The informal luxury of time on the water

The Patrone 45 Open expresses its character through freedom of movement, natural light and the ability to bring people together rather than through excessive decoration. Its idea of luxury is informal and closely connected to time well spent, with spaces that can evolve naturally throughout the day.

Sporty without looking aggressive and refined without becoming distant, this contemporary gozzo views the Mediterranean as a place to be shared. The greatest privilege on board may not be arriving before everyone else, but having more room and more time to enjoy the journey together.
