From 4 to 6 September 2026, Costa Navarino will once again host the Greek Maritime Golf Event, bringing together the international maritime community through sport, professional networking and Mediterranean hospitality. Now in its 12th year, the event has developed a distinctive identity at the intersection of golf, business and the sea.
Three days surrounded by Mediterranean scenery
The event will take place in Messinia, among centuries-old olive groves and views across the Ionian Sea, Navarino Bay and the harbour of Pylos. The setting reflects the character of the event, combining a high-level sporting programme with the relaxed atmosphere of a Mediterranean destination.
Participation is reserved for senior professionals from the Greek and international maritime industry. Rather than following the conventional structure of a business conference, the event uses golf as a shared experience through which conversations and professional relationships can develop naturally.
The competition returns to The Dunes Course
The main tournament will be held on Saturday, 5 September, at The Dunes Course, Greece’s first signature golf course. The venue was named Greece’s Best Golf Course 2025 at the World Golf Awards, strengthening Costa Navarino’s position among the leading golf destinations in the Mediterranean.
Players will compete in teams of four using a shotgun scramble format. This collaborative style of play is suitable for golfers with different levels of experience and keeps the entire course active throughout the competition.
Teamwork at the centre of the tournament
The teams will compete for the top three places in the overall ranking. Individual awards will also recognise the best performances in the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin challenges, adding further variety to the sporting programme.
A golf clinic will be available for guests who are not taking part in the tournament. Professional coaches will introduce newcomers to the game and help more experienced players improve their technique in a relaxed environment.
Golf becomes a platform for maritime networking
The Greek Maritime Golf Event has been designed as a meeting point for an industry that operates across borders and continents. Shipowners, executives, consultants and professionals can spend time together on the course, creating a different kind of setting for business dialogue.
The pace of the game and its team-based structure encourage conversation in a way that formal meetings rarely do. Time spent between shots, during social events and at the awards ceremony offers participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen professional connections.
A sporting event with a charitable purpose
The 2026 edition will once again support the Floga Association of Parents of Children with Cancer. A charity raffle will be held during the awards evening, with proceeds donated directly to the association and its work with children undergoing cancer treatment and their families.
Floga provides medical, psychological and social support, while also working to improve the wider care environment surrounding children and families facing serious illness. The initiative gives the event a social dimension that goes beyond the tournament itself.
Costa Navarino strengthens its international profile
Costa Navarino continues to establish itself as a destination for international events combining sport, tourism and business. Its golf facilities, natural landscape and relationship with the sea make it particularly well suited to an occasion created for the maritime community.
The event also presents a wider image of contemporary Greece, connecting its maritime tradition with hospitality, sport and high-quality travel experiences. In this setting, professional networking becomes part of a broader Mediterranean lifestyle.
The 12th edition continues a growing tradition
The continued development of the Greek Maritime Golf Event shows how golf can create meaningful connections within a complex and global industry. The 2026 edition will maintain the balance that has shaped the event over the years, combining competition, networking and social responsibility.
From 4 to 6 September, Costa Navarino will once again become a meeting place for maritime professionals and golf enthusiasts, offering an experience built around sport, shared interests and one of the most distinctive landscapes in the Mediterranean.
