Also presented through a virtual debut during the 2026 Singapore Yachting Festival, the model belongs to the Ultima range by Sunreef Yachts and stands out for a sportier profile than the shipyard’s more traditional power catamarans. Its look is immediate: inverted bows, a forward-raked windscreen, generous glazing and a modern presence on the water that feels bold without becoming excessive.

A multihull with a sporty soul

With an overall length of around 26.8 metres and a beam of 9.1 metres, the Sunreef 88 Ultima aims to bring together two worlds that are often kept apart: the stability and space of a catamaran with a more dynamic feeling, closer to that of a sporty motor yacht. Its slimmer hull design, compared with other Sunreef models, gives the yacht a cleaner and more streamlined silhouette.

The yacht can be configured with high-performance propulsion or with an advanced hybrid solution, designed to offer quieter cruising and more efficient energy management. According to the figures released, with twin 1,000 hp engines the yacht can reach a top speed of around 26 knots, while fast cruising speed is around 16 knots. These numbers help explain the spirit of the project: not only relaxation, but also the pleasure of moving with confidence and character.

Electric technology meets discreet luxury

In the Electric version, energy management becomes part of the onboard experience. The system can include custom-engineered batteries, hybrid propulsion and solar elements integrated into the yacht’s surfaces. The aim is not to turn luxury into a technological showcase, but to make it quieter, smoother and less intrusive.

Located forward, it can offer large openings towards the sea, a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom with switchable privacy glass, able to turn from transparent to opaque when needed. It is a solution that says a great deal about the yacht’s language: technology is present, but never forced.

A flybridge and outdoor spaces shaped around the owner

The flybridge is another central area in life on board. It can be configured with lounge areas, a dining table, sunpads, an outdoor galley, a jacuzzi or even dedicated fitness space. The helm station, in the layouts described, can integrate a wide multifunction display, reinforcing the idea of combining clean aesthetics with advanced control.

Forward, the bow lounge offers a more intimate setting, ideal for sunbathing or enjoying navigation from a different perspective. Protected walkways and high topsides make moving around the yacht more comfortable, a detail that has a strong impact on daily life on a yacht of this size.

The strong commercial response to the model, with a significant number of orders reportedly signed before many clients had even seen the yacht in person, suggests that the market is looking for something different from the conventional large yacht. The Sunreef 88 Ultima Electric does not rely only on size. It proposes a more contemporary idea of ownership: freedom, comfort and a less formal image of life at sea.
