It is a matter of a few days and the first Porsche Mission E with a complete Apple Music interface will be on sale, two synchronous engines to generate a total of over 600 horses, which will power all four wheels. With acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h, in less than 12 seconds. The Taycan is equipped with two extraordinarily efficient electric motors on the front and rear axle and therefore benefits from the advantages of all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive and the traction control system operate at a considerably faster rate than conventional systems. For example, if a wheel shows a greater slip, the electric motors intervene in a fraction of a second to correct the difference. The integrated Porsche 4D-Chassis Control analyzes and synchronizes all chassis systems in real time. The innovative systems, to complement the basic chassis layout, include adaptive air suspension with triple-chamber technology including both Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system for electronic damper adjustment and electromechanical chassis adjustment and Porsche Dynamic Chassis roll stabilization Control Sport (PDCC Sport) with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus). The car that set the record is also equipped with a steering rear axle and fitted with 21-inch tires. The Taycan is the first production car equipped with a 800 Volt power supply system, instead of the 400 Volt system normally used for electric cars. The advantages of this system include high and constant performance. The driving modes of the new Taycan include special settings that allow to take full advantage of all the properties of the electric drive system. By selecting the "Sport Plus" mode, the system responds to the driver’s requests in an extremely dynamic way. The battery heating and cooling strategy is designed to ensure high performance. At the same time, the fins of the cooling vents open, the rear spoiler extends from the outset to favor a minimum lift, while the chassis set-up is optimized to guarantee performance on the track and suspensions are adjusted so as to maintain the lowest position.
